As fans of Booster Gold know, the DC Universe is an inherently unstable place where status quo (and reality itself) can change at less than a moment's notice. No one is more aware of this than Booster Gold's best friend, Ted Kord.

Ted Kord has been the Blue Beetle since 1966. He's been a member of the Justice League since 1987. He's been dead since 2005 and alive again since 2014. And he's had a sister since... December.

And she's no fan of her brother's friendship with Booster Gold.

Booster boosters will remember that Ted was ousted as CEO of Kord Industries by its board of directors in last year's Blue and Gold #2, so it shouldn't be surprising that the board turned to his sister, even if we're just now meeting her for the first time.

If I have any gripes, it's that Ted has traditionally kept his participation as Blue Beetle a secret from the general public and other Kord Industries employees, but it makes sense he'd share his secret with his sister. I mean, Booster eventually told his secrets to his own sister, Michelle.

Wait. Is Victoria Ted's twin? That would be weird, right?

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Starfire have already appeared in issues of Blue Beetle: Graduation Day. Will we see Booster in future issues? Only Victoria Kord knows for sure.

As we learned in last week's Dark Crisis: The Big Bang, the DC Vampire-verse of DC Vs. Vampires is now officially Earth-63.

Judging by the events of that mini-series, it doesn't look like the remaining human heroes have much of a chance of surviving it. It's doubtful that Earth-63 will have a Booster Gold for much longer, so enjoy him while he lasts in this week's DC Vs. Vampires: All-Out War #6, the series' final issue.

The bad news is that Booster Gold is nowhere to be seen in this week's installment of DC's twenty-one-parts-and-counting Dark Crisis saga, Dark Crisis: War Zone.

The issue is an anthology of vignettes all taking place during the melee that's been raging in front of the Hall of Justice for two months now. We know Booster is in that fight, but somehow he's just never captured on panel herein.

The good news is that we can confirm our hero is still hard at work saving innocent lives because he gets a name drop on the very first page:

A wise man once said, "Whenever Booster's not on panel, all the other characters should be asking 'Where's Booster?'" This is close enough.

The preview at AIPTComics.com proves that Booster Gold still lives in the pages of DC Vs. Vampires: All-Out War #5. And that's all I'm going to say about that.

More interesting to me is Booster's non-appearance on the cover of The Flash #788, or, more specifically, Todd Nauck's "90s Rewind" cardstock cover:

Obviously, those kids in the pool aren't really Blue and Gold, but they sure are dressing the part. Check out their deck art!

Ok, so that's not a very "90s" Skeets, but any Skeets is always better than none.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have the urge to go re-watch Gleaming the Cube.
